Well a brand new year!!!
I havent written in ages again, we've had problems getting online firstly, for weeks and weeks we didnt have internet in our new house, so i was traipsing down to my mothers everyday to do my assignment, me and the dog - bless us! First news first - for my first assignment i got a B!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously i never ever achieved a B at school level never mind at degree level!! but lets face it, i always knew i was a secret brainbox!!
I also had to do a seminar presentation, on a group that was excluded from society, i chose homosexuality in school aged children, i was pretty nervous and prepared my presentation 3 hours before i had to do it, typical butterfly style, i was printing it off just before i had to stand up and do it, and i swear- i talked the ears off them!!!! 10mins long and i had breezed it!! although next one is only 5mins long, dont know how im gonna fit everything in!
and today im full of bragging cuz ive had to do a PDP - personal development plan, the first part was a blog about life experience, educational history etc e and this is the replyi had:
Wow, Miss Butterfly – you are quite a girl. No lack of confidence or determination, rather a lack of direction which is understandable and you are right in saying that your experience has helped you to ‘grow up’. I do believe that when you find the right career, you will be very successful – well done. For the moment you need to concentrate on your studies to gain a good classification in your degree – that is essential – otherwise you just end up with a lot of debt! What I would strongly suggest is that you explore graduate type opportunities in quality newspapers – examine the job specifications to find out what they want from graduates so that you can see what is on offer and prepare yourself to be ahead of the competition! I have now put the CV template on Blackboard, please complete this, along with a tentative ‘Action Plan’ for discussion with your Personal tutor in the new year. Your grade for this element is 9/10
Other than uni work, things have been pretty good,i had a cool digi photo frame for xmas,and the gilmore girls boxset
had dinner at mums, R came over later on in the evening, and quite amusingly by the time she got there i was a bit drunk and wanted to go home!
Boxing Day me and R slept over at her mothers, and so did her brother who get very drunk and had me weak with laughter,he chased me around the living room hopping waving his smelly foot in my face lol and had everyone in the room pulling his finger at the release of a loud fart!!
New years was pretty fun, we went off to a local, had a good laugh and ended up at a party afterwards,at 3.30am i was still parting but R was falling asleep so she made me walk home! when we got home i rushed for a wee, and horrified to find i'd peed my pants AGAIN!! worst part is - i dont even remember doing it!!!!
I felt better once id had a shower, by now it was almost 4.30am and i was starving, so i grabbed the yellow pages and at 4.30am new years day i called every chinese listed - after about 45mins i settled for frozen garlic bread from the oven - R had fallen asleep sat upon the sofa,i decided to wake her half way thru the garlic bread for her to eat it, but i was too hungry lol and scoffed the lot myself!! then woke her 2 cigs later and told her it was bed time she was gutted in the morning lol
red wine waiting for me!!!
